Premios BAFTA 2024: "Oppenheimer" y "Pobres Criaturas" lideran el listado de ganadores

Se celebraron los reconocimientos británicos donde se consagró también el film realizado en Reino Unido, "La zona de interés".

"Oppenheimer", la cinta del cineasta británico Christopher Nolan protagonizada por Cillian Murphy fue la gran ganadora de los Premios Bafta que se llevaron a cabo este domingo en el Royal Festival Hall de Londres. Gala donde "Pobres Criaturas" ("Poor Things"), del director griego Yorgos Lanthimos junto a Emma Stone fue otra de las cintas consagradas.

El film basado en la historia real del físico que desarrolló las bombas atómicas detonadas en Hiroshima y Nagasaki en la Segunda Guerra Mundial obtuvo 7 premios de 13 nominaciones. Mientras que el largometraje inspirado en la novela homónima de Alasdair Gray, consiguió 5 reconocimientos.

Por otra parte, otra de las elegidas fue "La zona de interés" ("The zone of Interest", de  Jonathan Glazer), que destacó el trabajo de la actriz alemana Sandra Hüller (a quien también vemos en "Anatomía de una caída"), la británica dirigida por en la categoría Mejor Película de Habla No Inglesa o Internacional, terna donde competía con "La Sociedad de la Nieve", de Juan Antonio Bayona. Cabe recordar que el año pasado, "Argentina, 1985" integró este listado.

Entre las participaciones invitadas, estuvieron Tom Cruise (de forma virtual) y Michael J. Fox, quien presentó la categoría de Mejor Película. Además, asistieron el príncipe William tras la hospitalización de Catalina, princesa de Gales y el diagnóstico de cáncer de su padre, el rey Carlos.
